Spellbending

Excerpted from Primer on Sorcery by Moiner Squillion, Collegiate Wizard:
It is a commonly accepted wisdom that we all do things we regret, but sorcerers do not have that luxury. To warp reality itself cannot be taken back, and every spell must be cast with an absolute clarity of intention.
Addendum by Defilter Mugwhistle, Rogue Maleficer:
A wizard's relationship with magic is like a gambler and his bookie. You can always dig yourself into a deeper hole. It's just a question of how many fingers you're willing to lose.
Spellbending procedure
In the first session of Troika Tu(wedn)esday, Chaoclypse successfully casted Explode but realised at the last moment that he didn't want it to set off quite so close to him and his friends. My ruling was as follows:
The spell caster Tests their Skill and incurs the spell's stamina cost a second time.
If they succeed, they bend the spell to the desired effect. If they fail, the spell goes off as it would have in the first place.
Instead of miscasting on double 6es only, spellbending triggers a miscast on any doubles.
